The dictonary defines “social service” as 1. Organized efforts to advance human welfare; social work.2. Services, such as free school lunches, provided by a government for its disadvantaged citizens.
Dani’s Foundation would like to encourage all pediatric sarcoma patients to research the social services that are available to them via state and/or federal program.
In addition to the listing below of US – State by State – social services, we also would like to encourage all patients and family members to work closely with their hospital and/or physcian social worker to find out disease-specific programs available to assist with funding and support in your treatment area.
