Executive Summary
Dani’s Foundation is a IRS recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which was formed in 1999. The Foundation is named after Daniele (Dani) Stell, who died of cancer in April 1999. In her memory, the Foundation works to lend assistance to the pediatric sarcoma community; works to educate the public on the symptoms of pediatric sarcomas and generates funding to support research that is aimed at finding the cause and the cure for pediatric sarcomas.
As the Foundation has grown, the major emphasis has evolved from specifically Ewing’s Sarcoma support to all pediatric sarcoma support. By working in tandem with all concerned parties, Dani’s Foundation can assist in raising public awareness and necessary funding for the Campaign to End Pediaric Sarcomas. Dani’s Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors meets quarterly to discuss the business of the Foundation.

The Medical Advisory Board began in 2007. This volunteer board is comprised of medical and scientific professionals who are charged with reviewing research projects and overseeing new directions for the Foundation’s scientific assistance.

Research Grant awards are decided in tandem by a committee made up of members of te Medical Advisory Board and members of the Bowrd of Directors. Final decisions as to funding allocations are determined by the Board of Directors at the end of each year, with grant awards made in January.
