BONNIE O’Neill’s battle with a rare cancer has tugged at both the heart and purse strings of the Clarence Valley and beyond.
Renee Fox, an organiser of the Bonnie O’Neill Appeal, said so far they had raised about $20,000 towards a target of $100,000 for treatment in Germany, through a campaign of money raising events all over the Valley.
But Ms Fox said the plight of the brave nine-year-old battling Ewing’s sarcoma had touched everyone, from former PM Kevin Rudd to a Mudgee farmer.
