Dani’s Foundation Announces 2012 Competative Research Grant Program

2012 Competitive Research Grant Award Announcement

August 1, 2012

Dani’s Foundation, the nonprofit organization that is committed to finding the cause and the cure for pediatric sarcomas, is pleased to announce that it will be awarding one year scientific research grant award(s) – commencing January 2013 – to those investigators and/or institutions that are conducting innovative scientific research in the areas of pediatric sarcomas (including but not limited to Ewing’s Sarcoma, Osteosarcoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma and Translational Research).  With the establishment of these annual grant awards, we are seeking to fund new pediatric sarcoma researchers and/or new approaches by established pediatric sarcoma researchers.

At this time, Dani’s Foundation is calling for Letters of Interest from potential grant applicants.   The Letter of Interest should include:

  1. A one-page overview of your proposed pediatric sarcoma research project
  2. Explanation of NEW research and/or the continuation of existing research
  3. A one year estimated project budget
  4. A listing of any project partnerships (Institution/Industry/Nonprofit)
  5. Investigator contact information including

               Name

               Email Address

               Mailing Address

               Phone Contact Number

All Letters of Interest must be returned by 5:00 p.m. MST on September 10, 2012 via email to martha@danisfoundation.org.

Those projects considered for final review will involve a clear identification of pediatric sarcoma detection, treatment, and/or cure.

Once the Letters of Interest are reviewed by the Foundation’s Scientific and Medical Advisory Committees, Dani’s Foundation will provide the top candidates with the formal grant application and guidelines necessary for submission to the 2012 grant process/2013 grant award.  At the time of application, the amount of the grant award(s) will be announced.

We are looking forward to hearing from many with the intent of selecting the best possible candidate(s) for our 2012 Competitive Pediatric Sarcoma Research Grant Awards.
